Pre and Post-Treatment Care

Before your treatment

1. Keep Skin Clean – Arrive to your session with clean/cleansed skin. No deodorants, creams, oils, perfumes, or make-up on the treatment area(s).

2. Avoid Sun Exposure – No intense sun, or sunbeds 4-6 weeks before laser. Allow more time if you have sunburn or intense tanning in the area. Use SPF 50 regularly.

3. Fake Tan – No fake tan for 10 days before treatment. Ensure no residue remains on the skin.

4. Face Treatments – Avoid facial peels, retinoids, exfoliants, or acids (e.g. AHA/BHA) for 7 days before treatment.

5. Clothing – Wear loose, breathable clothing to avoid friction on the area.

6. Medications – Inform us of any new medications. Avoid Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Ketoprofen, antihistamines, and steroids (topical or oral) 2 days before treatment.

7. Skin Conditions – Let us know if the area has eczema, dermatitis, infection, or cold sores.

8. Health – Postpone treatment if you are feeling unwell or have a weakened immune system.

9. Pregnancy – Not suitable during pregnancy or until 3 months post-breastfeeding.

10. Prepare – Shave the tattooed area if the hair is thick and obscuring the ink; there’s no need to shave if the hair is sparse.

After your treatment

1. Avoid Sun Exposure – We strongly advise to keep the treated area covered from sun exposure and sunbeds for up to 8 weeks following your treatment, as this can cause changes to the pigment in your skin.

2. Cooling – Use cool packs (wrapped in a cloth) or a cold compress consistently to soothe the area and reduce swelling.

3. Moisturising – Apply 99.9% aloe vera gel for 48–72 hours. Reapply to keep skin hydrated.

4. Heat & Water – Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools, or intense exercise, friction and sweating for 48 hours.

5. Scented Products – Avoid makeup, perfumes, or fragranced creams on the tattoo area for 1–2 days.

6. Fake Tan – Wait 1–2 weeks or until fully healed before applying fake tan to the area. Ask your technician if unsure.

7. No Picking – Do not scratch, pick, or peel the area. Allow natural healing to avoid scarring.

8. Clothing – Wear loose, soft clothing around the tattoo area for 24–48 hours post-treatment.

9. Side Effects – Redness, swelling, or mild blistering are normal. Contact us if you’re concerned.

10. Cleaning – Gently wash the area with tepid water and pat dry. Avoid scrubbing.

11. Blister Care – If blisters form, keep them clean, dry, and avoid popping them. Use a sterile, non-stick dressing if needed and contact us for guidance.

12. No Active Skincare – Avoid retinol, AHAs/BHAs, scrubs, or active ingredients on or near the treated area for 5–7 days.

13. Healing Time Between Sessions – Healing can take 8-10 weeks. Let the skin fully recover before booking your next session.
