Pre and Post-Treatment Care

Before your treatment

1. Shave the Area – Shave the treatment area the day or night before your appointment.

2. No Other Hair Removal Methods – No waxing, plucking, hair removal creams, or epilating before your first treatment or throughout your course.

3. Keep Skin Clean – Arrive to your session with clean/cleansed skin. No deodorants, creams, oils, perfumes, or make-up on the treatment area(s).

4. Avoid Sun Exposure – No intense sun, or sunbeds 2-4 weeks before laser. Allow more time if you have sunburn or intense tanning in the area. Use SPF50 regularly.

5. No Fake Tan – Avoid fake tan for at least 10 days before treatment.

6. Face Treatment Prep – Avoid facial peels, retinoids, exfoliants, and acids for 7 days prior to your appointment.

7. Comfortable Clothing – Wear comfy, loose clothing for body treatments.

8. Medications – Inform us about any new medications, especially photosensitive ones. Avoid ibuprofen, naproxen, ketoprofen, and antihistamines 2 days before your laser session. Also avoid steroids (taken orally or applied directly to the skin).

9. During Your Period – Intimate treatments can still go ahead if you are comfortable. Please use a tampon or menstrual cup.

10. Pregnancy – Inform us if you are pregnant. We can reschedule treatment until 3 months after pregnancy and breastfeeding.

11. Hair Growth Photo – Capture your hair growth progress with a pre-treatment photo.

After your treatment

1. Avoid Sun Exposure – No intense sun, or sunbeds 2-4 weeks after laser. Use SPF50 regularly.

2. Moisturise – Apply 99.9% aloe vera gel for a few days after your treatment. If the area feels sensitive, you can also use a cold compress to soothe.

3. No Heat – Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools, and exercise for 48 hours. Use warm/tepid water instead.

4. No Scented Products – Avoid perfumes, makeup, and scented creams for 1-2 days.

5. Fake Tan – Ensure the treatment area has completely calmed before applying fake tan. This may take 4-7 days; consult us if you are unsure.

6. Don’t Scratch – Refrain from scratching or picking the treated area.

7. Exfoliate Gently – Begin gentle exfoliation 7 days post-treatment, 2-3 times per week. After 10 days some hair may start to shed. After 3/4 weeks a new hair cycle may start to grow, this will be targeted at your next session.

8. No Other Hair Removal Methods – No plucking, waxing or hair removal creams. It is completely fine to shave between treatments, but ensure your skin has calmed down after laser.

9. Watch for Side Effects – Redness and swelling are normal; they usually subside within a few hours. Contact us if they last longer than 48 hours or if you’re concerned.
